WESTCAN REPLACEMENT PUMP PARTS

WestCan Pump Parts in Canada

Canadian-Engineered Replacement Parts for the Pumps You Already Operate

Flowstar connects customers with WestCan replacement pump parts manufactured through our sister company, SCG Process. From standard wear components to custom and obsolete parts, WestCan combines Canadian manufacturing, engineering and pump expertise to help keep existing equipment in service.

WestCan supports Goulds® and many other major pump brands with replacement parts engineered for fit, performance and long-term service.

MORE THAN A REPLACEMENT PART

Keep Your Equipment Working. Expand Your Parts Options.

Replacing a worn pump component does not always mean replacing the equipment around it. WestCan gives maintenance, reliability and procurement teams another source for parts supporting existing industrial pump installations.

Whether the need is a routine wear component, a difficult-to-source part or an obsolete component that is no longer readily available, Flowstar and WestCan can help review the existing equipment and determine the appropriate next step.

Reverse Engineering

When an existing drawing is unavailable, WestCan can recreate components using measurement, CAD, pattern-making, machining and metallurgical capabilities.

Extensive Parts Library

WestCan has produced more than 95,000 pump parts and developed more than 25,000 drawings.

Material & Design Expertise

Parts can be produced in materials including stainless alloys, duplex stainless, cast steel and other metallurgies based on application requirements.

Canadian Manufacturing

95% of WestCan parts are engineered and made in Canada using Canadian foundries and steel.

FLOWSTAR + WESTCAN

One Conversation. Direct Access to
Canadian Pump Parts Expertise.

Flowstar customers have direct access to WestCan’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities through the same broader organization. That means we can work together on part identification, engineering review, manufacturing and future parts requirements rather than simply passing an inquiry to an outside supplier.

Pump Knowledge at the Front End

Engineering Behind the Part

WestCan supports drawing development, reverse engineering, metallurgy and manufacturing.

Long-Term Parts Support

Once a component has been developed, drawings and patterns can support future requirements.

WHEN THE PART ISN'T ON THE SHELF

If the Part Doesn't Exist, WestCan Can Help Engineer It.

Some of the hardest pump-part problems begin when the original component is obsolete, unavailable or no longer supported. WestCan's engineering and manufacturing capabilities allow the team to work from an existing component, drawing or equipment information to recreate parts for continued service.

01

Evaluate the Existing Part

Provide the existing component, drawing, dimensional information or available equipment documentation.

02

Capture
the Geometry

WestCan can use tools including coordinate measuring, 3D CAD and engineering review to develop accurate part information.

03

Review
Material & Design

Metallurgy and application requirements can be evaluated before manufacturing.

04

Develop the Pattern or Machining Process

Pattern-making, foundry relationships and CNC machining support production of cast and machined components.

05

Retain the Engineering Data

Once a part is developed, WestCan retains the drawings and patterns to support future production and long-term availability.

Questions About WestCan Pump Parts

Start with the manufacturer, model, part number or any documentation you already have. Flowstar and WestCan can review the existing catalogue and engineering records to determine whether the part has already been developed or requires additional evaluation.

WestCan can evaluate obsolete and hard-to-source components for reverse engineering. Depending on the part and available information, engineering capabilities can include dimensional measurement, 3D CAD, pattern development, metallurgy, machining and quality-control review.

SCG Process states that 95% of WestCan parts are engineered and made in Canada using Canadian foundries and steel, with finishing performed at its Langley, British Columbia facility.

Depending on the application, WestCan can evaluate alternative metallurgies and design requirements. This can be useful where corrosion, abrasion or other service conditions are contributing to premature wear.

WestCan parts include a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
